Eco Lodge Game Farm

As a managed forest, we care about wildlife. And the taste.

Why do we hunt? We all have different stories

Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters recently did a story about an outdoors camp for kids. The summer camp is important in that it encourages recreation, and one of our hunters volunteered this summer and his kids spent some time at the camp. Listen to the story by clicking here, The portion of the podcast starts at about 35m42s.

The evolution of Eco-Lodge Game Farm

Eco Lodge Game Farm started in the late 1960's by a group of dedicated hunters. Primarily a waterfowl destination, it started to grow in to what we have now, starting in 1982, into a prime whitetail deer, bear, turkey and small game private hunting reserve.

Countless ducks have fallen from the skies. More than 200 deer have made their way toward dinner plates. Turkey hunting is reaching its prime, and 2013 was a banner year.

Eco Lodge actively manages its wildlife through feeding programs, food plots, bear caches and ensuring that all animals have shelter and appropriate minerals and nutrition.

Comfortably housing 10+ hunters, each in their own bed, our invitation only camp offers world class hunting opportunities with like-minded people.

We continue to have fun - we hunt hard, help each other out, have great meals and laugh lots. That's what it's all about!

Words from our Poet Laureate

Darius, our Poet Laureate, composed these works.

Memory Poem

Short grey hair loves to hunt and ride ATVs. Drives smooth
But fast on hard trails.  Lots of months we meet to hunt and
Drive. We go to hunt often he usually shoots a deer. Often
When we meet he drinks a martini while I drink a soda. I wake
Up to see him standing in front of me smiling.

Fall Hunt

Handle bars gleaming
The frost shining on the seat
I am ready to go
